When managers engage in abusive behavior in the workplace, no one is immune. And the higher the rank of the abuser, the greater the impact on the entire workforce. Abuse in the workplace can take many forms and create situations that poison the workplace's culture and cause distress to employees.
The fact is that one person's abusive behavior affects everyone involved, whether directly or indirectly. Either a person thrives and flourishes in an abusive situation and participates (becomes an abuser themselves), or suffers distress (a victim to the abusive settings).
There is no such thing as neutrality in abusive settings!
